Audi and Renovo created three bicycles, the Duo City, Duo Sport, and Duo Road. The “duo” in the name is a reference to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system, although the bicycles only have one-wheel drive. The Duo City and Sport bicycles use internal gear hubs with belt drives, and are designed for city and casual use. The Duo Road features 20 speeds and has the narrow tires of a racing bicycle.

Simple but stunningly beautiful…
We have so much technology to design and build these days, but it is all meaningless without an application like this: a device scans each board that passes through the machine, evaluates its natural curves and structural properties, then slices it into perfectly-fitting but uniquely-shaped floorboards.

These are trash/scrap pallets from the factory, I finally got all the boards nailed and glued up. I’m working on a piece of furniture to hold all the baskets of movies and junk next.

I don’t quite remember where I first spotted the work of union studio but I do remember I was instantly sucked in. I love the clean lines and mix of materials. They make some amazing furniture along with some stellar interiors.

This beautiful barn has been renovated by Seattle based architects Shed.
Each space was developed around a minimal palette of materials and color, with extensive re-use of existing barn materials. Some of these materials included the re-use of the original barn siding for interior paneling, re-milling of salvaged floor joists for stair material, trim and counter tops.
