Awesome wallpaper (just brace yourselves for €135 a roll price tag!)

I love this robot wallpaper design by Dutch design label Studio Ditte. It makes me want to redo my son’s room right now! After a journey through containers with small hardware parts and disassembling appliances, Studio Ditte brings a unique robot wallpaper. The army of friendly robots is made from old prints and decorated with small finds. The robot wallpaper is a blend of the nostalgic and the digital age.

Awesome, if a little pricey…

The large-scale ‘full moon odyssey’ floor-mattress (bed) by korean designer lily suh & zoono of i3lab gives you a dream-like experience as if your are sleeping on the moon. unlike other mattresses, this design breaks down the borders of dream and reality.

Lovely idea…

Anyone who’s played Pictionary knows that it’s more about speed than precision. This ad campaign by Ogilvy Malaysia humorously illustrates that very point. For their brilliant execution, the agency won a a Press Gold Lion award at the 2011 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

An eye catching brand evangelism bar…

Based on the central design theme, “Whisky Conversations”, the space was designed where multiple layered conversations are woven into the Johnnie Walker journey, complemented by the graphic designs from LOVE. Upon stepping into the Johnnie Walker House, raw ingredients such as malt and peat are lined against the wall of the entrance, acting as an important design exemplar to represent the fundaments of whisky making. Accompanied by copper lamps modelled after whisky stills, the mood of anticipation is imminent while the journey begins.

I love these awesome batteries…

Batteries don’t just power cool things, anymore. They are the cool things. With this new package design for Duracell, I created a promotional tool to get people excited about the batteries they buy. I used icons from popular culture, like Star Wars, to help the Duracell brand stand out on the shelf from its competitors. It gives people a chance to connect directly with the product in a way that other brands don’t. Who knows, maybe in 50 years we’d see this packaging up at a collector’s auction.

A simple but brilliantly executed idea, show day and night in a single frame…

Photographer Stephen Wilkes has created a project called Day to Night where he merges together beautiful day and night photos of various iconic New York places seamlessly into one. How does he do it? For a minimum of 10 hours, he photographs one scene from the same perspective until he captures day to night within a single frame.
