Traverse Me is a map drawn by walking across campus with a GPS device to invite the viewer to see a different landscape to that which surrounds them. It questions the possibilities of where they are and inspires a personal reading of their movements and explorations of the campus.

The ESO’s Very Large Telescope, with help from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory, has found the most powerful pair of jets ever witnessed ejecting from a small, stellar-sized black hole. But while the black hole (by black hole standards, anyhow) is small enough to be classified a microquasar, the jets are anything but tiny, sufficiently powerful to spawn a giant, fiery gas bubble 1,000 light years across.

Drool…

I stopped by a cake store the other day and noticed they had donut pans. I asked about them and I was told they were for baking donuts. I’d never heard of baking a donut, but I was intrigued enough to buy a pan. After researching a lot of different recipes, I cobbled together my own to make these tasty and somewhat healthy donuts.

I’m riding shotgun in a surprisingly roomy helicopter cockpit with Vincent Laforet, one of the foremost practitioners of DSLR video, over New York City. I’ve never ridden in a helicopter. The asphalt below fades from black to grey.

Love this building design, especially the lattice grid that allows for climbing plans all over the front…

The first, second and third floors are dedicated to office space, accessible by means of galleries on the front of the building overlooking the road and enclosed by a steel grid facing that creates an unbroken and compact façade. This level of flexibility is assured by the presence of service cores that penetrate the building from the ground to the roof, providing a fully serviced site in each unit for the installation of bathroom/toilet facilities if required. 1.5 m balconies have been created for the offices on the two façades overlooking the internal garden.
