I always thought the Macbook Air weighed too little and this sexy little wooden case should take care of that nicely, whilst adding a touch of debonair class…

The best thing about this case is the way it looks. It’s unique and good-looking, which is pretty nice when you think about it. Cases come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, but this one is definitely at the top of our list. We think that it will work well with a number of different laptops out there, not just Apples.

I used to have one of the Apple Newton MessagePad’s, awesome machine, lovely interactions (I used to love the way you could literally throw notes in the trash). It still makes me wince how much it cost (and why I bought it whist being a student!)…

This is a prerelease model of Apple’s OMP (Original MessagePad) including the extremely rare ‘Batmobile’ screen cover. The front of the case is marked ‘Newton’ in the location where the shipping models of the OMP and the MP100 (MessagePad 100) were marked ‘MessagePad’. This particular unit is currently nonfunctional. In fact, I’m not convinced that it ever worked, as it is labeled “Technical Sample Only” on the back.

Great photo too.

Dutch artist Paula Arntzen is an incredibly skilled paper artist. Only after countless hours of studying and observing the special characteristics of paper was she able to create these contemporary light sculptures. All of these were entirely handcrafted before being screen-printed with fluorescent ink. The results are stunning!

This residence is primarily used when the clients’ extended family comes from England for long visits. They come to relax and to reconnect with their family and with nature, away from city crowds and traffic, at a retreat they neither want nor need to leave for a month.

The design objective was to make every day of that month unique by providing a range of destinations within the site with diverse scales, functions, and views: from gathering in the expansive living room overlooking the fields of the former peach orchard to reading alone on a shaded bench between the library and the edge of the forest. Multiple paths and hallways connect each destination, further increasing variety. Finally, each detail and custom furnishing is designed to make mundane rituals into thoughtful events.

I was delighted to be asked by Nikon to come flying over London with a group of journalists from the UK’s best photography magazines to test out the new D3S. We took off Battersea heliport and made a couple of flights around London, the D3S has incredibly low noise at high iso and is perfect for this kind of work.

I love Lily Allen, she maybe the perfect model, as she’s mad enough to go along with the vision of the photographer and create some stunning images.

Love the drive of these guys…

One man’s garbage is another man’s tricked-out snowmobile chopper. Yes, quite true. The snowmobile chopper you see above is Bob Sawicki and Toby Weisser’s collective effort and is built out of all the junk and discards found at the station. Its engine and track are from a totaled 1981 Ski Doo. Chopper’s two fire tanks – one for fuel and other for the compressed air refurbished air horn – are old fire extinguishers. It runs, as Bob and Toby say, 30 to 35mph on the snow. It took 120 work hours to assemble it and they only need to invest as little as $10 in parts.

I loved the design of this when I first saw it, now in place it looks even more desirable…

The OfficePOD is a prefab home office unit that provides nearly 7′ x 7′ of office space and storage in a curvy, contemporary package.  Plop the OfficePod on your property — be it your back yard or even a separate lot in a woodsy setting — and you’ve got a full-service modern office without the household distractions.

Yet another gorgous house in a Swedish archipelago…

WRB Architects have completed a waterfront house located on an island in the Swedish archipelago. The site includes a 500 year old oak tree, pine and rocky outcrops. Facing the sea is a large area for gathering, indoor parts and outdoor parts are separated by a sliding glass wall. The layout takes advantage of the natural beauty of the landscape. Island House, Stockholm Archipelago, Sweden, by WRB Architects
