The Helvetica Cookie Cutters are made from aluminum and acrylic and produce the finest, print quality helvetica cookies. Not only does the final product look great, but how aesthetically pleasing are the actual cookie cutters themselves! We would love to have these displayed throughout our home while they’re not in use.

Amazing celebrity photography, such style and energy…

Alexi was born in England to a Peruvian mother and a Polish father. At the age of eight, he moved to Botswana with his mother and English stepfather. It was his stepfather who gave him his first camera at the age of 11. His serious interest in photography developed whilst traveling in Peru during a gap year at college. His interest later shifted from social commentary to narrative based/fashion photography whilst studying his degree at the University of Brighton, in the UK.

British fashion photographer Craig McDean takes A-list actresses and turns them into steamy seductresses. Whether he’s emphasizing their arresting eyes or their sultry pose, McDean reminds us why these gorgeous women capture our complete attention. The magic of Craig McDean's photos, however, lies in the fact that he portrays these women in a strikingly stunning way.

Discover new music on this elegant and engaging new site…

On thesixtyone, new artists make music and listeners decide what’s good. We’re nurturing a growing ecosystem where talented folks can sell songs and merchandise directly to their fans. Unlike a record or distribution deal where they only make $1-2 per album (if they ever get paid, that is), artists on thesixtyone make at least $7 per album and are paid every 30 days — no wait for recoupment and no complex royalty schemes!

One of my favourites at Balmorhea, take a listen.

Useful, no, cute, completely…

Lenkin Design is currently working on a stunning, 21-acre hilltop in Malibu, with views to both mountains and the sea. We’ve brought in our special vista consultant, Mini the Cat, also known as Queen Minnie, Ruler of All She Surveys. Typical of her mindfulness both as designer and outdoor adventurer, she made a specific point of rolling in dirt before our meeting this morning. Although the dust in Malibu is a slightly different shade, it was remarkable how it helped bring the outdoors inside to us- critical in a project of this nature.

I love this piece of artwork,  I hope it has a good time on it’s travels…

Caleb Larsen’s “A Tool to Deceive and Slaughter” isn't quite as menacing as its name makes it out to be, but it’s definitely a flighty little fellow: it continually creates new eBay auctions for itself via a built-in Ethernet jack.

Something to consider when the new tablet gets announced, this won’t be Apple’s first flirt with tablet computing…

Frog Design, the company who created these prototypes along with some for an Apple phone on Steve Jobs’ request back in the 1980s, has shared a few images to give us a peek of what could’ve been an Apple tablet—attachable keyboard, floppy drive, stylus and all

Very classy scooter helmet…

In my search for a polka-dotted bicycle helmet, I came across this adorable motorcycle helmet by French brand Ruby. It's crazy-expensive and it's for motorcycle use, but it’s a seriously awesome piece so I had to share. How cute would this look while riding a Vespa?

Gorgeous images of saturn…

From 20 degrees above the ring plane, Cassini’s wide angle camera shot 75 exposures in succession for this mosaic showing Saturn, its rings, and a few of its moons a day and a half after exact Saturn equinox, when the sun’s disk was exactly overhead at the planet’s equator. The images were taken on Aug. 12, 2009, at a distance of approximately 847,000 km (526,000 mi) from Saturn. (NASA/JPL/Space Science Institute)

Interesting article…

Clouds stream in the wake of wind turbines arrayed at the Horns Rev offshore wind farm in this stunning photo. But David MacKay, a physicist at the University of Cambridge in the UK, sees the image as illustrating the common problem of back-row wind turbines losing power relative to the front row.

Downstream wind turbines may lose 20 percent or even 30 percent of their power compared to their fellows in front, according to a study on wake effects at Horns Rev that MacKay highlights on his blog. The paper also emphasizes that different wind directions make it practically impossible to gauge an overall “steady state” for large wind farms, unless researchers can sample wind speeds and directions at multiple points throughout the array.
