Yet another gorgous house in a Swedish archipelago…

WRB Architects have completed a waterfront house located on an island in the Swedish archipelago. The site includes a 500 year old oak tree, pine and rocky outcrops. Facing the sea is a large area for gathering, indoor parts and outdoor parts are separated by a sliding glass wall. The layout takes advantage of the natural beauty of the landscape. Island House, Stockholm Archipelago, Sweden, by WRB Architects

Simple but beautiful idea…

The Sixpack is a bottle carrier that can hold up to 6 beer, soft drink, or water bottles. It’s perfect for those BYO dinner outings where a normal 6 pack gets destroyed after you rip out one beer

The Macallan Ice Ball “Machine”. Did you know it runs on GRAVITY? Yes, high tech stuff… also the magical frictional heating of copper also comes in to play somehow just perfectly at room temperature. Really you stick a roughly right sized chunk of ice in between the two heavy pieces, and let gravity go to work on it. And with in moments ~ right before your eyes ~ it melts down to a perfectly glossy sphere. It’s magical really.

Don’t get too excited though, it’s reported to cost around $1000 a piece

I’m not sure this the what the model had in mind when she took the gig…

I’ve used Steadicam rigs in the past and have been really impressed with their preformance; however a rig for an iPhone (or hopefully a wide range of phones) maybe a stretch, but if the quality continues to improve then there should be no reason why this couldn’t lead to some very creative close quarters movie making…

Camera stabilization rig maker Steadicam-Tiffen is making its first anti-shake mounts for cellphones and pocket cameras, including the iPhone, Droid, and Flip. I say it’s about damn time for it because I’m tired of shaky cellphone spy videos.

No pricing or release information is available for these small scale rigs at this time, but I hope that I can get one soon so I can finally become a real iPhone videographer.

Next stop will be 720p HD support for the iPhone, but this is definitely on my watch list
