Love this guys office space, the mix of large screen mac front and center, surrounded by the brick and boxed wall really works (not to mention the grand piano in the living room and beautiful deck built outside)

Slow Food Nation 2008–the country’s first major sustainable foods celebration took place over Labor Day weekend at Fort Mason San Francisco. Individual “Taste Pavilions” fabricated from repurposed materials were designed by the Bay Area’s most celebrated design firms. Sagan Piechota’s design for the pickle-and-chutney booth—assembled just days before the event—featured walls made of pickle jars and a ceiling composed of 3,000 mason jar lids suspended from wires.

A private residence in the archipelago of Stockholm situated on a beautiful site overlooking the ocean. The setting is scenic but the climate is harsh. Summers are light but short and the wind can often be a problem in these coastal areas. As in many of our projects great emphasis is put on exploring the border between inside and outside – protected and exposed – building and nature. 1/3 of the built area consists of outdoor areas under roof.
The H-shape helps creating intimate and wind protected courtyards that prolong the summer season. The main veranda is fully under roof and an open fireplace keeps temperature up during spring and fall. The social areas have concrete floors and are kept a bit rough. The private bedroom section is elevated from the concrete and less rough with dark wooden floor and interiors.
This work triggers a sense of heady emotional dizziness in the visitor, it is destined to become a milestone as for future international wellness centers. This is the result of architecture inside the architecture which enables the users to enter a unique 3D multisensorial dimension. This is a 3D manifesto resulting from a possible and conscious union among architecture, sensoriality, wellness, from the synergy among highly effective basic furniture, plasitc and fluid shapes and the personal experience of the guest walking in this place surrounded by a dreamlike scenario.

Good advice from abeautifulmess…
When you feel really inspired, drop everything and work!
A good idea is often gone the next morning.Make inspiration a priority.
This means that if you have a favorite band, a favorite magazine or a favorite blog you make time for it, guilt free! small breaks for inspiration are always worth it when followed by a good creative workday!Surround yourself with positive people.
Find the people in your life who love you AND your work and make you feel really good about what you are doing. avoid negative people during busy work times!Make friends with other artists you admire.
This is a must! friends in your industry will keep your inspired and challenged.Find a new obsession as often as you need to.
Obsessions keep me so inspired. find little things that you can fancy that make your day and cause you to think in a new direction.

Loving these photos…
Photographer Lothar Schmid has a really sharp eye. All of his shots look meticulously detailed with perfect clarity. The fact that he gets to work with beautiful models and actresses doesn't hurt either. Collected here are a few of my favorite shots from his portfolio.
