There is a lot to like in the work of Texas architectural firm Lake/Flato. A lot to admire. Buildings rest easy on the ground respecting their environment. These buildings are authentic. A series of pavilions or spaces with wide overhangs, shade loving, warmth hugging, real.

Oh this this is too cute…

Have you ever missed an important announcement from a friend because you only check Twitter late in the day and couldn’t be bothered to scroll through 8 hours of posts from your friends? Did feel guilty when your feeble “congratulations!” Tweet was sent 2 days late when you found out your buddy got married? Would you like to build your very own robot army? I need a more impressive office chair, I’ve been spoilt by a Herman Miller Aeron Chair, but this new model from Knoll looks mighty fine (and hugely expensive of course!)

Generation by Knoll offers a new standard of comfort and unrestrained movement, supporting the range of postures and work styles typical of today’s workplace. Designed by Formway Design, Generation takes the idea of elastic design—where a product rearranges itself in response to its user—to a new level.

This is my new laptop backpack, perfect for the light traveller with the small laptop (ie any widescreen 12inch notebook), it’s very comfortable and discreet, but I would recommend getting a laptop sleeve as the padding isn’t enough to inspire confidence in an accident
